• One word. Unbelievable! What an amazing park. Could not believe we would enjoy this place as much as we did. It was amazing. It was so interactive and the children were so well behaved on the guided tour because they were able to get up close and touch the animals, even feed the kangaroo's! Stuart feeding 'Crunch' the crocodile was nail biting for some of us. Never have we seen a keeper get so close to a croc and never have we seen a 5 metre 500kg croc, he was huge! Highly recommend this place, it's a MUST!

  • Ballarat Wildlife Park is a small family run wildlife centre, opened in 1987 by Greg Parker. The park covers 37 acres and has about 400 animals on display, including free roaming kangaroos.
During my time researching Ballarat and all it has to offer I came across the wildlife park. Now, we've been to a few zoos in our time and so in all honesty I was considering simply skipping this one. However, as I always do of late when researching places to visit and various travel options I jump on Trip Advisor, there I found several comments about the wildlife park, pretty much all of them recommending a visit there, for one reason or another.

  • Dear Julie, Greg and all staff at the Ballarat Wildlife Park, I just wanted to send a note to say thanks and reiterate how impressed we were by your park. Emily and I bought our companies Chinese guests to your park earlier this week and were totally blown away by the high standard of every facet of your facility. The enclosures were so clean and the animals themselves looked to be very content in their environment. We actually couldn’t believe how active some of the animals were, it was great to see them moving around happily doing their business. As I said to Julie whilst talking briefly as we leaving I also found it amazing to see no animal droppings on the paths around the park, that in itself was truly remarkable and shows the pride you all have in your facility. Julie, I would like to extend an extra big thanks to you. You went the extra mile for our guests and gave them the experience of a lifetime with the Koala’s. What a way to be introduced to Australia... get off the plane in Melbourne, two hours later to be having your photo taken whilst cuddling a Koala – this is truly an experience I know that none of those ladies / gentlemen will never forget. You are all very fortunate to be working with such beautiful animals in such a fantastic and well presented environment on a daily basis. I truly envy you all. We wish you all the best with your upcoming projects. We will be back for sure with our families and certainly guests as well from time to time and will definitely be spreading the word. Thanks again and all the best to you all.

  • Love the Ballarat wildlife Park. I had my 21st birthday there, and I got given an anual pass from my boyfriend for Valentines Day. I have been to other wildlife parks in Victoria, and none have been as good as Ballarat in my opinion.

  • Awesome that we have something like this in Ballarat. Get behind your home town wildlife park. So well worth the visit.
