Volunteers play an important role in the day-to-day life of the Ballarat Wildlife Park. Some of the tasks volunteers assist the keepers with include:
Grounds and enclosure cleaning including raking, weeding, fence & window cleaning.
Picking up lots of roo poo!
Enclosure and garden maintenance including re-mulching and changing over of koala leaves.
Preparing and providing animal enrichment.
Assisting keepers with animal health checks.
Assisting keepers in encounters or at presentations like our Reptile Presentation.
